Andes, trudging through the rainforest, and scrambling over sharp lava rocks, and are still in great shape, the suede just looks a little worn. My feet never hurt! They're waterproof to a degree, but if submerged or really poured on, wetness does seep through and they then take a while (overnight) to dry. There also isn't very much grip on the bottoms; fine for sidewalks or grass but dangerous on wet rocks, steep paths or ice. You can see that they're pretty low around the ankle so they look kind of goofy with socks, and debris gets in pretty easily. Those are the few cons I've discovered over the past year, but I'm still wearing them. Definitely recommended!
