Better than the 1140 it replaces I think, due to a little snugger, more form-fitting upper, and a bit of a weight reduction. These are in fact extremely light, so much so in fact, that I think if you need more than just a little stability, you may be better served by the Asics 2140-2150 series. These work much better for this 155 pounder though, with the much softer SpEVA midsole (compared to the much firmer Solyte Asics uses in higher-priced models for some reason). A great value in a basic, well-cushioned, lightweight, light stability trainer.
